Named as one of the top 101 orthopedic programs in the nation in 2012 by Becker’s Orthopedic, Spine & Pain Management Review
Ranked in the nation’s top 2 percent in patients’ willingness to recommend the hospital, based on Press Ganey data
Designated as a Blue Distinction Center for high-quality Knee and Hip Replacement by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of California
One of three hospitals selected by the California Joint Replacement Registry to pilot a statewide registry database for patients undergoing joint replacement surgery tracking long-term patient outcomes
Collaborated with McKesson and Aetna to create the first automated implementation of Integrated Healthcare Association’s (IHA’s) bundled payment model, designed to decrease healthcare costs by improving practices and standardizing care. This model is the first of its kind in California and one of the first in the nation. The bundling system, which began in 2012 with knee replacement surgeries and now includes hip replacement surgeries, has created a new level of accountability and transparency in medical care.
